One, 4 days early. The other, 7 days behind schedule.

What was the reason?

The lender.

Sometimes the money you think you’re going to save on the interest rate gets flushed down the toilet… like when your movers pick up your items and have no place to take them. And then you have to buy an air mattress and sleep on the floor in your empty home, or throw down on a hotel room for a week.

Just sayin’….

Experienced agents know this. That’s why we cringe when we see contracts come across our desk with certain lenders who are notorious for delays. We let our Sellers know about the risk and factor it into the offer equation.

Some people are willing to trade their sanity for a few bucks. Others of us are not.
